![]() That's why very few people have GOG alongside Steam and therefore bots on GOG codes make no sense. Because on GOG those games are not, just because of DRM. ![]() It's sad, but if I want to play the game with friends, I have to use steam. I bought them to support the creators (mainly nostalgia). It's faster to find the game illegally, if you want it for free. On GOG, games are bought by people who are happy to pay for a game, to have confirmation that they got it legally, to support the creators. If you want to play the game without paying, you can download it. Last thing, the most important thing why bots on GOG codes have no meaning: I'm afraid there is not much interest in GOG codes yet. This is used when shopping, reselling, scalping. Give the code to someone via DM? Be the first? This is a job for bots. There are terribly few codes, almost none. A gog code activation bot that would scan everything and everywhere is economic nonsense. A simple script will speed it up but on gog there are not many options to monetize the acquired games. Although gog has one tweak suitable for bots. I see a link to twitter on the steam and there I see a code that I have to paste on gog. ![]() Neither the human nor the bot knows whether it's a commodity code, a password, or something else. Another problem with GOG codes is that it's one long word. It's more interesting than the fact that humans are fast, it takes seconds to copy code and there's no point in trying it after minutes. And will wait minutes for the right one to arrive that doesn't say it's already used. The bots understand that the code is stored somewhere else (in this case they seamlessly transitioned to twitter), they will also understand that it is not a steam code, but GOG, but 5+4 stops them. A conspiracy as rampant as that the Egyptian pyramids were built by aliens because humans are incapable of it. OP should’ve messaged the code to someone via DM or maybe not reveal one digit of the code and instead do something like 5+4 is the missing digit of the code. Pasting codes like that is not a smart move. There are bots made by people that steal game codes found on gaming forums and social media sites.
